UNSPSC 92112403: Nuclear war

UNSPSC 92112403 Nuclear war (Commodity) shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity — the code's nominal scope bears no relation to the opportunities posted under it. The recent solicitations tagged to this code encompass federal funds tracking systems, flight school oversight, AI-powered camera monitoring, fire service consolidation studies, explosive detection canine services, ergonomic evaluations, audio/visual and security systems, post-disaster inspections, professional engineering services, cybersecurity, emergency management consulting, and security guard services across Texas, California, South Carolina, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Connecticut, Colorado, Arizona, and other states. These procurements address operational, administrative, and infrastructure support needs across state departments, county governments, cities, universities, transit authorities, and special-purpose districts — none of which align with nuclear war preparedness, response, or recovery.

This mismatch signals that either the code assignment is erroneous or state and local procurement databases are applying UNSPSC 92112403 as a default or fallback category for security, emergency management, or related services that do not fit standard commodity hierarchies. Firms evaluating pursuit under this code should verify the actual commodity or service category before investing development resources, as the code itself does not accurately describe the work being bought by state and local buyers.
