UNSPSC 92112402: Limited war

UNSPSC 92112402 Limited war is a Commodity code that does not describe any work state and local governments are actually buying in current solicitations. The recent opportunities tagged to this code span cybersecurity monitoring and incident response, emergency management consulting, security services (armed and unarmed), facility security system upgrades, access control installations, traffic control support, and community violence intervention programming—all activities that fall outside the nominal scope of military or wartime operations. The code appears to be a misclassification artifact in state and local procurement databases; no opportunity in the recent block reflects limited-war procurement in any meaningful sense.

The mismatch between the code name and the actual work being solicited across Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and other jurisdictions indicates the code sees little relevant activity. State and local procurement offices have tagged diverse security, emergency management, and public safety consulting activities to this category, but these represent standard municipal or utility operations, not weapons systems, military logistics, or any activity related to limited warfare. Vendors pursuing state and local government contracts should not rely on this code for market intelligence or opportunity identification; the recent posting activity reflects systematic data-quality issues rather than an active procurement segment.
