UNSPSC 92112301: Domestic military bases

UNSPSC 92112301 Domestic military bases, a Commodity code, shows little relevant recent activity. The code's scope nominally covers procurement and transactional services related to domestic military installations; however, the state and local opportunities tagged to this code over the past several months do not reflect that definition. Recent postings include federal funds tracking system software (Texas HHSC), flight school compliance oversight (Texas State University), AI-powered camera monitoring (Harris County), fire service consolidation studies (Beaufort County, South Carolina), explosive detection canine services (Hudson County, New Jersey), ergonomic evaluations (California), and security consulting across medical centers, emergency management, and public facilities nationwide. None of these activities involve domestic military bases or military-specific procurement.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the actual work being solicited suggests either systematic mistagging in state and local procurement systems or that this particular Commodity code has been repurposed to capture a broader class of security, consulting, and operational support services that do not belong to a military-bases taxonomy. Business development professionals tracking this code should verify the UNSPSC classification with their contracting intelligence teams before committing pursue resources, as the code does not currently reflect meaningful military-base-specific demand from state or local buyers.
