UNSPSC 92111601: Arms limitations

UNSPSC 92111601 Arms limitations is a Commodity code that state and local governments rarely procure under this taxonomy designation. The recent opportunities block shows no purchases of arms-limitation equipment, systems, or compliance services. Instead, the opportunities tagged to this code reflect public-safety procurement that is unrelated to the code's nominal scope — off-duty officer employment management platforms, security guard services, threat assessment consulting, surveillance system assessments, canine explosive detection, and facility security services. These acquisitions fall squarely into protective services, security operations, and law enforcement support, not weapons limitations or arms control. The mismatch suggests either misclassification in state and local procurement systems or an artifact of how some jurisdictions have mapped legacy security and law enforcement codes to the UNSPSC taxonomy.

No meaningful activity aligned to the arms-limitations code definition appears in recent state and local contract opportunities. Jurisdictions pursuing work under this code should verify the accuracy of UNSPSC mapping in individual solicitations, as the tagged opportunities do not support procurement strategy or market positioning in weapons systems, ammunition restrictions, export compliance, or related arms-control services. This code shows little decision-relevant activity for business development targeting genuine arms-limitations work at state and local level.
