UNSPSC 85892016: Plaque radiation of hard palate

This classification denotes the group of activities that yields a radiation therapy intervention or procedure of plaque radiation of hard palate. This intervention or procedure is listed in the World Health Organization's International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems or ICD-10 as code D9Y8FZZ

UNSPSC 85892016 Plaque radiation of hard palate is a Commodity code that shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. Boswell, Mississippi posted a request for qualifications and proposals on April 2, 2026 (due April 24, 2026) to hire an occupational therapist, a professional services role unrelated to the radiation treatment of oral tissue that this code nominally describes. The mismatch between the code's clinical scope and the actual solicitation suggests either a tagging error in the source or that this code does not reflect current state and local purchasing patterns in the healthcare services space.

Without additional opportunities demonstrating actual procurement under this code, the activity profile remains unclear. Firms evaluating this Commodity code should confirm whether recent opportunities in their target jurisdictions align with the radiation oncology or oral surgery scope the code implies, or whether state and local buyers are tagging different clinical services to this classification.
