UNSPSC 85891840: Beam radiation of parathyroid glands using electrons

This classification denotes the group of activities that yields a radiation therapy intervention or procedure of beam radiation of parathyroid glands using electrons. This intervention or procedure is listed in the World Health Organization's International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems or ICD-10 as code DG043ZZ

UNSPSC 85891840 Beam radiation of parathyroid glands using electrons is a Commodity code that shows minimal alignment with current state and local procurement activity. The single recent opportunity in the dataset—Boswell, Mississippi's RFQP 3382-26-R-RFQP-00005-V01 for an occupational therapist position—does not match the code's clinical scope. Beam radiation therapy targeting endocrine tissue is a specialized medical procedure typically procured by hospital systems, cancer treatment centers, or integrated health networks rather than through general state and local RFQ channels for personnel services.

The code shows no documented state and local solicitations for the beam radiation services the UNSPSC taxonomy nominally describes. Boswell's occupational therapist recruitment, while issued under this code classification, reflects a data-tagging misalignment rather than activity in therapeutic radiation procurement. Bidders should not treat this code as an active procurement channel for parathyroid radiation services under current state and local market conditions.
