UNSPSC 85214806: Diagnosis of gonococcal infection of anus and rectum

This classification denotes the group of activities that yields a diagnosis of Gonococcal infection of anus and rectum. Gonococcal infection of anus and rectum is listed in the World Health Organization's International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems or ICD-10 as a four digit category under code A54. 6

UNSPSC 85214806 Diagnosis of gonococcal infection of anus and rectum is a Commodity code that shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The three most recent opportunities tagged to this code—a diagnostic imaging PACS system at San Mateo Medical Center, special education contracted services at Birdville Independent School District, and temporary health professional staffing at Santa Clara Health System—are plainly unrelated to the code's nominal scope and reflect misclassification at the source level rather than actual buying patterns under the category.

The code warrants skipping unless your firm intends to pursue specific diagnostic testing or clinical laboratory work for state health departments or county public health agencies. The source provides no opportunities for such services, and the widespread mislabeling suggests that public procurement databases are not currently using this code to track actual infectious-disease diagnostics buying.
