UNSPSC 85111703: Bacteria management or control services

In this classification, this commodity indicates the activities required for the management and control of bacterial infections

UNSPSC 85111703 Bacteria management or control services (Commodity) does not align with the recent state and local opportunities posted under this code. The four opportunities in the most-recent block are soliciting flu vaccination clinics, opioid-use-disorder treatment capital projects, worksite wellness and chronic disease prevention services, and evidence-based disease prevention programs for older adults — none of which involve bacteria management or control. The code appears to show little relevant recent activity in state and local procurement.

The mismatch suggests either a classification error in the underlying procurement records or that the code is rarely used by state and local buyers for its nominal scope. Business development professionals should verify the code's utility in their target markets before building pursuit strategy around it, and should monitor whether future opportunities post under this code or whether the category remains inactive in state and local spend.
