UNSPSC 82151600: Circus Performers

UNSPSC 82151600 Circus Performers is a Class code with minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned to its nominal scope. The code shows no sustained purchasing pattern for traditional circus performance services, acrobatics, animal acts, or related entertainment. Recent opportunities nominally tagged to this code reflect entertainment and event services at variance with circus-performance work: sleigh ride operations, audio-visual and production rigging, truss structure installation, DJ services, piano performances at veterans' facilities, park entertainment consulting, educational performance materials, and event planning. State and local buyers soliciting entertainment and performance services do not systematically tag such work to this code; issuers instead post opportunities under broader or more specific commodity or service codes aligned to their particular need (event rigging, contracted entertainment, instructional materials, or facility services). No genuine circus-performer procurement appears in the recent posting record.

The mismatch between the code's stated purpose and the actual buying pattern suggests this code is not in active use for state and local procurement in the 2026 activity window. Firms evaluating pursuit under this code should verify directly with issuing bodies whether circus-performer services or related circus acts are actually being procured in their target jurisdictions, and should monitor entertainment and event-services codes more broadly — including rigging, audio-visual, and performer-talent codes — rather than relying on UNSPSC 82151600 as a reliable signal for buying opportunity.
