UNSPSC 82111703: Poetry authors services

UNSPSC 82111703 Poetry authors services is a Commodity code under which state and local government procurement activity bears little relevance to the code's nominal scope. The recent opportunities tagged under this code include public outreach consulting for rail capital projects, workforce talent pipeline program design, physical fitness assessment software, code revision services, housing tax credit documentation editing, Vision Zero planning, instructional materials review management, grant writing support, irrigation system improvements, HRSA grant application support, translation and interpretation services, and related professional services that fall squarely outside poetry authorship. None of the solicitations in the available record demonstrate a match between the code descriptor and the actual work being procured.

The mismatch suggests either a cataloging error in how opportunities are indexed under this code, or the code has been repurposed in practice to capture a broader swath of professional services beyond its taxonomy name. Without recent opportunities that track to actual poetry authorship or related literary services, the code does not present a clear procurement signal for firms pursuing work in that space. State and local buyers do not appear to be sourcing poetry authorship services through this code in current procurement activity.
