UNSPSC 81102810: Counter improvised explosive device IED training

Deliver IED awareness training, and thus, prepare forces to adopt the appropriate attitude should the IED threat continue to rise.

UNSPSC 81102810 Counter improvised explosive device IED training is a Commodity code, yet the recent state and local opportunities tagged under it reflect a significant mismatch between the code's nominal scope and what is actually being solicited. The City of Tucson and City of Detroit have posted RFPs for service canines and gunshot detection systems respectively; Orange County, Florida has solicited community center security upgrades; and the City of DeBary, Florida has posted a project for park irrigation system improvements. None of these procurements—canine procurement, gunshot detection technology, building security infrastructure, or landscape irrigation—fall within counter-IED training in any conventional sense. The code shows no genuine recent activity aligned with its stated purpose.

No state or local procurement opportunities supporting counter-IED training services appear in the current record. The tagged opportunities represent infrastructure and equipment acquisitions unrelated to the code's scope, making pursuit under this code taxonomy not viable for firms specializing in IED awareness, detection, or response training for public safety organizations.
