UNSPSC 81102804: Demining non technical survey NTS service

Refers to the collection and analysis of data, without the use of technical interventions, about the presence, type, distribution and surrounding environment of mine or explosive remnant of war ERW contamination, in order to define better where mine or ERW contamination is present, and where it is not, and to support land release prioritization and decision-making processes through the provision of evidence.

UNSPSC 81102804 Demining non technical survey NTS service is a Commodity code that in practice bears little relationship to recent state and local procurement activity. The recent opportunities posted under this code—service canines for police and court use, community center security infrastructure upgrades, park irrigation system improvements, and gunshot detection systems—fall outside the scope of demining or non-technical survey work entirely. The mismatch suggests that issuing bodies have applied this code to procurements where it does not fit, rather than that state and local governments are actively buying demining or survey services under the nominal code description.

The source includes no recent opportunities that align with the code's stated scope of demining or non-technical survey services. Procurement activity under this code designation does not support a credible market signal for firms pursuing work in that specialty.
