UNSPSC 70141709: Plant taxonomy services

UNSPSC 70141709 Plant taxonomy services (Commodity) does not align with the state and local contract opportunities posted under this code. The two recent solicitations tagged to this code are a production services contract for audio, LED display, and lighting equipment at the Georgia World Congress Center Authority's FIFA Fan Festival venue in Atlanta (RFP PE92200RFP2026000000072, due March 10, 2026) and an executive search services RFP from the City of College Park, Georgia, for City Manager recruitment (RFP 26-37, due February 18, 2026). Neither procurement involves plant taxonomy work, horticultural classification services, botanical identification, or related plant science activities that the code nominally describes. The mismatch suggests the code has received incorrect tagging in the state and local procurement system or lacks current, accurately classified opportunities.

The code shows minimal relevant recent activity. Firms pursuing opportunities under UNSPSC 70141709 should verify opportunity classification independently and may encounter better market signals from related horticultural, landscape, or botanical service codes that more accurately reflect current solicitation practice.
