UNSPSC 60104416: Rotating cylinder

A device that is used to observe the air current changes in the atmosphere. This is the electric motor type rotating table for multi-purpose experiments for the centrifugal force and deflecting force experiments.

UNSPSC 60104416 Rotating cylinder is a Commodity code. State and local governments do not procure rotating cylinders under this code in any identifiable recent activity. The most recent opportunities tagged with this code relate to educational materials, supplies, and services — classroom and conference room technology, science instructional resources, STEM kits, and catalog-based procurement of school supplies — none of which involve rotating cylinders or equipment with rotating cylindrical components. The code appears to be either misapplied to educational procurement or dormant in state and local purchasing activity.

The absence of relevant recent opportunities suggests this code does not represent an active market segment in state and local procurement as of mid-2026. Firms evaluating pursuit under this code should verify that opportunities actually soliciting rotating cylinders or related machinery components are being tagged with this code number before developing business development resources. The current signal from available state and local data is to watch rather than pursue.
