UNSPSC 56131604: Paint color center component

Repair or replacement part for a paint color center.

UNSPSC 56131604 Paint color center component is a Commodity code with minimal relevance to current state and local procurement activity. The three most recent opportunities posted under this code show a fundamental mismatch: Greater Orlando Aviation Authority's ITN 26-615 solicits the manufacture, delivery, and installation of retail merchandising units (RMUs) with steel bases, drawers, cash wrap stations, LED lighting, and acrylic panels—a fixture-manufacturing service unrelated to paint color center components. Broward County Aviation Department's RFI seeks prefabricated RMU kiosks for airport retail concessions, again a merchandising asset rather than a paint product. Sourcewell's RFP #061626 is a cooperative procurement for law enforcement equipment serving multiple states and jurisdictions—entirely outside the paint or retail merchandise domain. The code shows no recent state and local solicitations for paint color center components, paint-related retail fixtures, or related inventory-management hardware. Paint color center equipment—typically point-of-sale paint-mixing displays and sample-management systems—does not appear in the opportunities listed.

Activity under this code is not tracked in current state and local procurement records, or opportunities posted under it do not reflect the code's nominal scope. Prospective vendors should verify with issuing bodies and procurement databases whether paint color center components are actively procured under this UNSPSC designation at state, county, municipal, school district, or transit authority level, and whether the code is correctly applied in live solicitations.
