UNSPSC 55121601: Label removing kits

UNSPSC 55121601 Label removing kits, a Commodity code, sees minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The single recent opportunity identified—Klein Independent School District's RFP #26-101 for Career Technical Education and Advanced Academics instructional resources—does not actually solicit label removing kits or any closely related consumable supply. Instead, Klein ISD seeks instructional materials, equipment, software, textbooks, and support services across 17 CTE program areas and advanced academics tracks, including dual credit, AP, gifted and talented, and specialized fields such as welding, robotics, healthcare, and hospitality. The mismatch between the code assignment and the work being bought suggests either a tagging error in the source system or that this Commodity code does not reflect active state and local procurement in this category.

The opportunity shows independent school districts as a buyer type in Texas. Klein ISD (Harris County) issued RFP #26-101 with a June 5, 2026 response deadline, evaluating proposals on best value including price, vendor reputation, quality, past performance, long-term cost, and HUB compliance. The district encourages but does not mandate use of MBE, WBE, SBE, VBE, and labor surplus area vendors. Award recommendations are due by August 10, 2026, with a contract start of September 1, 2026 and four optional one-year renewals. The source does not support characterization of broader activity under this code across other states or issuing bodies.
