UNSPSC 53131603: Razors

UNSPSC 53131603 Razors is a Commodity code covering disposable and reusable razor products that state and local governments purchase for facility operations, correctional institutions, and public health programs. State and local buying under this code centers on bulk procurement of safety razors, disposable razors, and razor blades for use in correctional facilities, detention centers, mental health facilities, and administrative offices where personal grooming supplies are issued or maintained. Issuing bodies include state departments of corrections, county jails, municipal detention facilities, and state mental health agencies. The code also captures razor purchases by school districts and transit authorities for employee facilities and public restrooms.

The source provides no recent state and local contract opportunities posted under UNSPSC 53131603, so current market activity and geographic concentration cannot be characterized from available data. Procurement professionals evaluating this code should monitor correctional-system RFQs and state mental health agency ITBs for bulk razor supply contracts, as these sectors represent the primary buying volume, though no specific recent solicitations are presently documented.
