UNSPSC 52152201: Shelf liner

UNSPSC 52152201 Shelf liner is a Commodity code covering adhesive-backed or friction-based protective sheeting that state and local governments install in cabinets, storage units, and display fixtures to protect surfaces and facilitate cleanup. State and local procurement offices source shelf liner for schools, libraries, correctional facilities, administrative offices, and maintenance shops — typically as part of facilities maintenance, janitorial supply, or office refurbishment contracts. Orders are modest in volume and dollar value, often bundled with other adhesive films, protective materials, or general janitorial supplies rather than solicited as standalone line items. Issuing bodies span school districts, city and county facilities management offices, state warehouse or supply divisions, and transit authorities managing fleet and administrative spaces.

The source provided contains no recent opportunities posted under this code. Without posted solicitations, the geographic distribution of activity cannot be determined. Procurement professionals monitoring this code should establish standing relationships with regional cooperative purchasing vehicles and janitorial-supply cooperative agreements, which often carry shelf liner as a commodity available to schools, municipalities, and special districts. Direct inquiries to state purchasing offices managing commodity contracts for facilities maintenance may surface demand signals earlier than formal RFQ or IFB postings.
