UNSPSC 51103003: Piperonyl butoxide/pyrethrins/petroleum distillates

This classification denotes a combination drug defined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in its (VA's) National Drug File (NDF), which falls under VA Drug Class AP300. This VA Drug Class (AP300) classifies this compound as belonging to the group PEDICULICIDES.

UNSPSC 51103003 Piperonyl butoxide/pyrethrins/petroleum distillates is a Commodity code that does not align with the recent state and local opportunities posted under it. The four recent solicitations—for naloxone and drug deactivation systems, direct-to-manufacturer prescription programs, medical and first aid supplies for fire rescue, and generic pharmaceuticals and OTC products through a multistate cooperative—target pharmaceutical products, medical supplies, and health-service delivery systems rather than the pesticide-active ingredients the code nominally describes. The mismatch suggests either miscoding of opportunities in the source systems or a fundamental disconnect between the UNSPSC taxonomy as applied and the actual procurement intent.

No relevant recent activity exists under this code for products or services that match its stated scope. Absent evidence that state and local governments are actively soliciting piperonyl butoxide/pyrethrins/petroleum distillate formulations, the code does not present a meaningful pursuit opportunity at this time based on the source material provided.
