UNSPSC 50462210: Canned or jarred winter white bunching onions

The variety of bunching onions known as winter white bunching onions that have been canned or jarred for preservation.

UNSPSC 50462210 Canned or jarred winter white bunching onions, a Commodity code, sees minimal current state and local procurement activity. The recent opportunities block contains no solicitations explicitly requesting canned or jarred winter white bunching onions; the recent activity tracked under this code is mismatch. State and local procurement in the food-service space does pursue canned goods broadly—canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and mixed commodity procurement—but no recent opportunities name bunching onions specifically, fresh or processed.

The code shows no identifiable recent activity. Interested vendors should monitor state department food-service and school nutrition procurement pipelines in food-producing states (Oregon, Texas, Georgia, and Illinois show the highest recent volume in commodity food procurement), but the sparse historical activity under this specific commodity suggests either extremely low demand or persistent classification mismatch in state and local procurement systems. The absence of specific bunching-onion solicitations across multiple jurisdictions over the tracked period indicates this is not a priority procurement line item for the issuing bodies that actively buy canned goods.
