UNSPSC 50444605: Frozen mesculin mix lettuce

The variety of lettuce known as mesculin mix lettuce that has been frozen for preservation.

UNSPSC 50444605 Frozen mesculin mix lettuce (Commodity) does not appear in recent state and local procurement activity. The code's narrowly specified scope — mesculin mix salad greens in frozen form — does not match the work being solicited under this designation.

The source records show repeated procurement activity for frozen vegetables broadly construed: frozen corn, frozen potatoes (french fries, wedges, tater tots), frozen carrots, frozen assorted blends (green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, stir fry blend, peas), and mixed frozen vegetables. Oregon Department of Corrections, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and multiple school districts in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Texas, Missouri, and other states all bid frozen vegetable commodities. None of the recent solicitations name or reference mesculin mix, frozen lettuce, or leafy-green salad products in frozen form. The closest activity appears under fresh produce codes where school districts and state agencies solicit fresh salad greens, but no frozen mesculin-specific demand is visible in the opportunity set. State and local procurement of this commodity is not currently signaled in available records.
