UNSPSC 50443806: Frozen ramson garlic

The variety of garlic known as ramson garlic that has been frozen for preservation.

UNSPSC 50443806 Frozen ramson garlic (Commodity) does not appear in recent state and local procurement activity. The code shows no relevant solicitations in the dataset; the opportunities posted under related frozen-vegetable codes span frozen corn, mixed vegetables, carrots, and assorted blends, but none reference ramson garlic or any comparable specialty frozen-garlic product.

The recent opportunities under neighboring frozen-vegetable and frozen-food codes (50443700–50443900 range) reveal the actual market: state correctional departments, school districts, and county facilities are procuring commodity frozen vegetables—carrots, corn, mixed blends, broccoli, peas, green beans—in full-truckload volumes at prices ranging from $0.30 to $0.70 per pound, with delivery to central warehouses or individual school sites. Oregon Department of Corrections, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and Georgia school districts dominate the recent solicitations. The absence of ramson garlic (a niche specialty item) from this activity suggests either negligible demand under the code or miscoding of actual garlic purchases. Procurement officers at state and local food-service operations appear to source frozen vegetables through standard commodity channels rather than specialty frozen-herb or allium products. No market-ready signal emerges for this code in the current window.
