UNSPSC 50441770: Frozen simpson avocados

The variety of avocados known as simpson avocados that have been frozen for preservation.

UNSPSC 50441770 Frozen simpson avocados is a Commodity code that shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The recent opportunities tagged under this code cover frozen corn, frozen potatoes, frozen mixed vegetables, frozen carrots, and assorted frozen vegetables — commodities unrelated to frozen avocados. The code appears to be either unused or misapplied in the state and local procurement systems surveyed.

State and local food service buyers — primarily corrections departments, school districts, and health and human services agencies — are actively procuring frozen vegetables (carrots, corn, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, mixed assortments) and other frozen food products through ITBs and IFBs, but avocados (whether fresh or frozen) do not appear in any of the recent solicitations. Oregon's Department of Corrections, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, multiple Georgia school districts, Fairfax County Public Schools, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice have all posted frozen vegetable and general food service procurement opportunities between February and July 2026, yet none of these opportunities request frozen avocados or avocado-based products. Without evidence of recent demand under this specific commodity code, the category does not present a clear procurement pursuit opportunity at present.
