UNSPSC 50425213: Dried rijnsberger onions

The variety of onions known as rijnsberger onions that have been dried for preservation.

UNSPSC 50425213 Dried rijnsberger onions (Commodity) does not align with the recent state and local solicitation activity posted under this code. The most-recent-opportunities block contains bids for kidney beans, dried black beans, dried pinto and red beans, and broader cafeteria and institutional food products, but no solicitations for dried rijnsberger onions or dried onions of any variety. The code shows no relevant recent activity.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the opportunities tagged to it suggests either a classification inconsistency in the underlying state and local procurement databases or that this Commodity code is not actively used for institutional food procurement in the jurisdictions and time window represented. State and local procurement offices tagging these bean and broader food-service opportunities may be using higher-tier codes or alternative taxonomy entries. A business development firm pursuing dried onion sales to state and local buyers would benefit from verifying the actual UNSPSC codes state and local procurement offices apply to produce and ingredient purchasing, rather than relying on the code-to-opportunity mapping shown here.
