UNSPSC 50425106: Dried red velvet okra

The variety of okra known as red velvet okra that has been dried for preservation.

UNSPSC 50425106 Dried red velvet okra is a Commodity code, but the recent state and local procurement activity under this code does not align with the nominal scope. The six opportunities posted between May and October 2026 name dried beans (kidney, pinto, red, and black), institutional meal programs, and generic food supplies—not dried red velvet okra. State and local governments are not soliciting dried red velvet okra under this code at present.

The mismatch between the code's stated commodity and the actual opportunities posted suggests either a tagging error in the source data or a code that sees minimal or no relevant procurement activity. Vendors pursuing UNSPSC 50425106 should verify the code's application with issuing bodies directly before bid preparation, as the recent opportunities in this dataset do not reflect the code's name. If the intent is to bid on dried legumes or institutional food supply contracts more broadly, those opportunities appear under different codes or are accessible through state correctional systems (Georgia Correctional Industries, Oregon Department of Corrections, Texas Department of Criminal Justice) and municipal food-service vehicles (City of Edinburg, Texas CACFP program), but the code labeling provides no reliable signal for targeting work in those categories.
