UNSPSC 50422707: Dried giant white celery

The variety of celery known as giant white celery that has been dried for preservation.

UNSPSC 50422707 Dried giant white celery, a Commodity code, does not align with the recent state and local procurement activity tagged to it. The most recent opportunities in the source describe solicitations for kidney beans, black beans, pinto and red beans, and general cafeteria food products — all distinctly different from giant white celery. The code shows little relevant recent activity, and the mismatch suggests either a classification error in the source data or that state and local jurisdictions are not actively procuring dried giant white celery through formal channels at present.

Georgia Correctional Industries, the State of Oregon, the State of Illinois, the Oregon Department of Corrections, the State of Georgia, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts) have posted solicitations for institutional food supplies in recent months, but none of these opportunities explicitly target the commodity named in this code. Without verifiable recent state and local opportunities for dried giant white celery, no geographic concentration, issuing-body pattern, or representative procurement example can be drawn from the source. Firms pursuing activity under this code should verify the classification with their target jurisdictions directly rather than relying on recent solicitation history as a guide.
