UNSPSC 50421743: Dried leona linda avocados

The variety of avocados known as leona linda avocados that have been dried for preservation.

UNSPSC 50421743 Dried leona linda avocados (Commodity) does not align with the recent state and local opportunities posted under this code. The five most recent solicitations tagged to this Commodity cover dried kidney beans, dried black beans, dried pinto and red beans, child and adult care food program meal supplies, and institutional cafeteria food products—none of which are avocados or avocado products. The mismatch suggests either a tagging error in the state procurement systems or that this Commodity code has been repurposed or is receiving incorrect classification assignments. State and local governments buying legumes and institutional food staples are using this code designation, but the code's stated name does not reflect the actual procurements being tracked under it.

With no recent opportunities genuinely targeting dried avocados at the state and local level, and the existing posted solicitations reflecting a different commodity class entirely, pursuit under this specific code is not viable. Business development professionals should verify the intended UNSPSC classification with state purchasing offices before investing time in capability development or bid preparation, as the code appears to be either misconfigured in the procurement system or experiencing systematic miscoding of posted opportunities.
