UNSPSC 50365827: Canned or jarred elephant heart plums

The variety of plums known as elephant heart plums that have been canned or jarred for preservation.

UNSPSC 50365827 Canned or jarred elephant heart plums (Commodity) shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The sourced opportunities span canned applesauce, dried fruit bars, fresh produce, eggs, and broad-based food service supply contracts, none of which align with the code's nominal scope of canned or jarred elephant heart plums—a highly specialized dried-fruit commodity. The code does not appear in active state or local solicitations dated 2026.

State and local governments buy preserved fruit products, but current procurement focus centers on mainstream canned goods (applesauce), fresh produce staples (apples, bananas, berries, carrots, peppers), and eggs for school nutrition programs, institutional food service, and correctional facilities. Oregon Department of Corrections, Texas health and human services agencies, and school districts in Georgia, Missouri, Texas, Connecticut, and Virginia are actively soliciting food products, but none specifically target canned or jarred elephant heart plums. This code warrants a skip unless your firm has existing relationships with specialty food distributors serving niche institutional markets or ethnic food service channels where preserved stone fruits command demand.
