UNSPSC 50363647: Canned or jarred ruby cabernet grapes

The variety of wine grapes known as ruby cabernet grapes that have been canned or jarred for preservation.

UNSPSC 50363647 Canned or jarred ruby cabernet grapes (Commodity) does not appear in recent state and local procurement activity; the code's nominal scope bears no relation to the opportunities tagged under it.

The opportunities in the recent-activity block are consistently mislabeled. The sourcing bodies—the Oregon Department of Corrections, Austin Independent School District, the State of Illinois Chief Procurement Office, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Hancock County Board of Education, the City of Bridgeport, and multiple school districts in Georgia, Missouri, Connecticut, and Texas—are soliciting canned applesauce, dried fruit bars, fresh produce (including apples, berries, leafy greens, and specialty vegetables), eggs, grocery staples (proteins, dairy, grains, condiments), and food service consumables. The recent posted opportunities cover school nutrition programs, correctional facility food service, state hospital food supply, and special-needs residential care across multiple states. None of the work involves canned or jarred ruby cabernet grapes, or anything approximating that commodity. The code appears to be a taxonomy misalignment in the state and local procurement system rather than a meaningful categorization of active purchasing.
