UNSPSC 50343628: Frozen merlot grapes

The variety of wine grapes known as merlot grapes that have been frozen for preservation.

UNSPSC 50343628 Frozen merlot grapes, a Commodity-level code, sees minimal relevant recent activity in state and local procurement. The recent opportunities block contains no solicitations actually requesting frozen merlot grapes or other varietal table grapes. Instead, the code's recent activity reflects a broad mismatch: state and local buyers are soliciting general grocery and food service products—proteins, produce, dairy, condiments, frozen vegetables, dried fruits, and ice cream—under multiple UNSPSC classifications, but none of the posted solicitations identify frozen merlot grapes specifically or frozen table grapes of any variety as a line item or commodity class.

The opportunities in the source span Texas Health and Human Services Commission procurement for state hospitals and supported living centers, school districts across Georgia, Florida, Missouri, Connecticut, California, and Oregon, county corrections facilities, and Head Start child care programs. These buyers issue IFBs and RFPs for comprehensive grocery and food service supply contracts covering hundreds of line items monthly, but frozen varietal grapes do not appear as a distinct procurement target in any recent notice. The code shows no identifiable geographic concentration, issuing-body pattern, or representative recent solicitation supporting active purchasing activity under this specific commodity classification.
