UNSPSC 50312706: Organic mcfarlin cranberries

The variety of organic cranberries known as organic mcfarlin cranberries

UNSPSC 50312706 Organic McFarlin Cranberries, a Commodity code, shows little relevant recent activity. The recent opportunities block contains no solicitations for cranberries or cranberry products; instead, the tagged opportunities cover fresh produce procurement broadly—bananas, mixed fruits and vegetables, eggs, and beverages—for school nutrition programs and one state food supply contract. The code's nominal scope (organic McFarlin cranberries, a specific cultivar) does not align with the general fresh-produce and food-service procurement activity appearing in the opportunity records.

The mismatch suggests either that state and local procurement offices are not actively tagging cranberry-specific opportunities under this code, or that cranberry solicitations do not currently represent a material part of the state and local market. School districts and county boards of education across Georgia, Texas, Wisconsin, and Florida—the jurisdictions most active in the recent opportunity set—are buying fresh produce in bulk for nutrition programs, but none of the posted RFPs, RFBs, or ITBs name cranberries as a line item. Practitioners evaluating this code should verify current tagging practices with procurement offices or search directly for cranberry-specific solicitations before allocating resources.
