UNSPSC 50111729: Non gmo land snail, minimally processed without additions

Products from animals of the species Helix aspersa, these products have been grown, and harvested in a manner that qualifies them to be certified as Non GMO.

UNSPSC 50111729 Non-GMO land snail, minimally processed without additions is a Commodity code that shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The nine recent opportunities tagged under this code—spanning school nutrition services, supplemental food procurement for state hospitals and living centers, and frozen grocery items—involve conventional foodservice ingredients (chicken, beef, pork, produce, eggs, dairy, grains, and processed entrees) with no solicitations for snails or snail products. The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the actual work being procured suggests either systematic miscoding by issuing bodies or that snail procurement falls outside regular state and local purchasing patterns. No issuing body has posted a live opportunity for this commodity in the source record.

Given the absence of any snail-specific solicitation activity and the consistent application of this code to unrelated food categories, pursuing this code does not appear productive for vendors supplying non-GMO land snails. Standard foodservice and school nutrition procurement codes carry substantially more activity and clearer alignment with actual buying patterns.
