UNSPSC 47111507: Laundry drying stand

A type of device that places the wet laundry already washed into the device to dry up.

UNSPSC 47111507 Laundry drying stand (Commodity) shows minimal direct alignment with recent state and local purchasing activity. The two recent opportunities tagged under this code involve material-handling and event-supply equipment (hand trucks, collapsible wagons, folding tables and chairs, rolling luggage) and industrial laundry equipment maintenance services, neither of which represents laundry drying stands as a discrete product line. The City of Philadelphia and Orange County, California are the issuing bodies posting under this code recently, with Philadelphia pursuing a micro purchase for general event logistics and Orange County's Probation Department soliciting routine maintenance and repairs of industrial washers, dryers, and lint collectors at two juvenile detention facilities.

The geographic activity is limited to California and Pennsylvania based on the recent record. The Philadelphia opportunity (RFQ, due July 20, 2026) bundles laundry drying stands implicitly within a broader micro purchase for outreach event supplies under a $43,000 micro purchase threshold. The Orange County opportunity (IFB #057-3021101-VRV-2, due May 19, 2026) addresses maintenance and repair services for industrial laundry equipment at Youth Guidance Center and Juvenile Hall, with a five percent preference for County of Orange Local Small Businesses and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises, quarterly preventive maintenance, emergency 24/7/365 response, and firm fixed pricing. The code does not appear to capture routine state and local procurement for laundry drying stands as a standalone commodity; recent activity suggests either misclassification or very limited use of this specific code for actual equipment purchases.
