UNSPSC 42203509: Transvenous pacing catheters

In this classification, this commodity indicates a product used as a flexible tube inserted through a narrow opening inside veins in an transvenous pacing procedure. Most nations, for tariff and trade purposes, schedule these products under HS 901839.

UNSPSC 42203509 Transvenous pacing catheters (Commodity) does not align with recent state and local procurement activity under this code. The source records show state and local solicitations for automated external defibrillators (AEDs), cardiac monitors, defibrillator service plans, and related emergency medical equipment—products and services that fall outside the scope of transvenous pacing catheters. No recent state or local opportunities specifically soliciting transvenous pacing catheters appear in the dataset. The code shows little relevant recent activity.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the emergency medical equipment being solicited suggests either a coding error in how opportunities were tagged or that state and local procurement for transvenous pacing catheters has not generated competitive solicitations during the period covered by the source. A business development professional evaluating this code should verify the correct UNSPSC classification for cardiac device offerings or monitor this code for future activity rather than pursue opportunities currently posted under it.
