UNSPSC 42201707: Medical ultrasound or doppler or echocardiograph gel warmers

In this classification, this commodity indicates a product used as a gel warmer in a medical ultrasound or doppler or echocardiograph procedure in a medical setting. Most nations, for tariff and trade purposes, schedule these products under HS 300670.

UNSPSC 42201707 Medical ultrasound or doppler or echocardiograph gel warmers (Commodity) does not align with recent state and local procurement activity posted under this code. The three most recent opportunities capture purchases of occupational medical surveillance services, veterinary ultrasound units, and point-of-care ultrasound equipment — none of which involve gel warmers or related heating accessories. The code appears to see little or no relevant recent activity at the state and local level.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the actual solicitations suggests either misclassification by the issuing bodies or minimal procurement volume in gel warmer products among state and local agencies. Firms tracking this code should monitor whether activity realigns with the commodity's intended scope or remain inactive pending a shift in state and local demand for occupational health imaging support equipment.
