UNSPSC 42182327: Thesiometers

In this classification, this commodity indicates a product used as an instrument designed to measure simply and accurately the threshold of appreciation of vibration in humans in a medical setting. Most nations, for tariff and trade purposes, schedule these products under HS 901811.

UNSPSC 42182327 Thesiometers is a Commodity code whose scope does not align with the recent state and local solicitations tagged under it. The two posted opportunities—a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing RFP for law enforcement equipment and a San Mateo County RFP for teleneurology services—fall outside the nominal definition of thesiometers (heat-measurement instruments). State and local procurement offices appear to be using this code as a catch-all or misclassifying these solicitations. The absence of any recent opportunities actually seeking thesiometers, heat-measurement devices, or related instrumentation makes the code unsuitable as a basis for business development activity targeting authentic market demand in this category.

No substantive market activity exists under UNSPSC 42182327 for thesiometer procurement or sales. The code shows no relevant recent opportunities and does not support a business development strategy focused on state and local government purchasing in this commodity class.
