UNSPSC 42143401: Sweat control equipment

In this classification, this commodity indicates a product used to control the sweat of a person in a medical setting. Most nations, for tariff and trade purposes, schedule these products under HS 901890.

UNSPSC 42143401 Sweat control equipment, a Commodity code, does not align with the recent state and local contract opportunities posted under this classification. The source records nine recent solicitations from state and local issuers, none of which involve sweat control equipment—the opportunities instead cover laser equipment and OR support (San Mateo County), surgical power instruments (San Mateo County), ventilator maintenance and repair (Hillsborough County), law enforcement equipment (Sourcewell cooperative), intraosseous infusion systems (Marion County), career and technical education resources (Klein ISD), ultrasound machines (Valencia College), and spinal implants (University of Texas Health Science Center). The code shows no relevant recent activity in state and local procurement.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and actual purchasing activity suggests either a miscategorization in recent RFP postings or minimal current procurement demand for sweat control equipment across the jurisdictions tracked in this dataset. State and local buyers issuing RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs under this code have not been identified in the past three months.
