UNSPSC 41181860: Pigweed allergenic extracts

In this classification, this entry connotes an extract made of Pigweed used in an Immunological Allergenic test.

UNSPSC 41181860 Pigweed allergenic extracts is a Commodity code that does not see relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The code's nominal scope—botanical allergenic materials—does not align with the nine most recent state and local opportunities posted under this designation, which instead reflect solicitations for forensic laboratory analysis, drug-testing services, clinical diagnostic testing, pool maintenance, and HIV and Syphilis screening reagents and instruments. None of these opportunities call for pigweed allergen products or related allergenic botanicals; the mismatch appears to be a classification artifact rather than a reflection of actual buying patterns under this code.

Illinois state health agencies and Texas criminal justice entities have posted multiple recent opportunities for laboratory reagents and testing services, but these target HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis screening kits from manufacturers such as Abbott Laboratories, along with forensic and drug-testing capabilities—categories distinct from allergenic botanical extracts. State and local procurement activity under UNSPSC 41181860 does not support a pursue recommendation at this time based on current market signals.
