UNSPSC 41123003: Desiccants

UNSPSC 41123003 Desiccants is a Commodity code that appears to receive minimal direct procurement activity from state and local governments based on recent solicitation records. The three most recent opportunities posted under or near this code show no meaningful alignment with desiccant products: Klein Independent School District (Klein ISD) in Texas issued an RFP for Career Technical Education and Advanced Academics instructional resources across 17 distinct program areas, the City of Palm Bay, Florida posted an ITB for comprehensive laboratory testing services supporting water, wastewater, and industrial pretreatment programs, and Santa Clara County issued an RFI for a lab information management system replacement. None of these solicitations involve desiccant procurement, moisture-control products, or related consumables.

The code shows no recent activity aligned with its nominal scope of desiccant materials or products. State and local procurement under this Commodity appears inactive or extremely limited based on available records, suggesting either low demand for standalone desiccant contracts, absorption of desiccant purchases into broader material or equipment procurements, or use of cooperative purchasing agreements or supply contracts that do not surface as standalone solicitations. Firms considering pursuit under this code should verify current buying patterns through direct outreach to target jurisdictions' procurement offices or review recent purchasing history through state cooperative purchasing vehicles.
