UNSPSC 41121707: Separator test tubes

UNSPSC 41121707 Separator test tubes (Commodity) does not see decision-relevant recent activity under this code from state and local procurement bodies. The three most recent opportunities posted in April 2026 under or near this classification are misaligned with the code's scope: the City of Albuquerque's APD crime lab supplies RFB covers 124 line items of forensic and laboratory consumables—evidence packaging, fingerprint collection equipment, chemical reagents, protective gear, and forensic tools—but does not isolate separator test tubes as a distinct line item; the City of Palm Bay's ITB for laboratory testing services (response date March 17, 2026) seeks analytical testing contractors for water, wastewater, and groundwater programs across 188 line items of analyses and courier services, not consumable lab glassware or separators; and the County of Santa Clara's RFI for a public health lab information management system replacement (response deadline April 22, 2026) targets software and systems integration, not laboratory supplies or equipment. The disconnect between the code's nominal product class and the actual procurements being issued suggests that state and local purchasing offices are either tagging these opportunities with a higher-tier code that encompasses laboratory supplies more broadly, or separator test tubes are being purchased as subsidiary line items within bundled lab-supply solicitations rather than as standalone commodities. No recent standalone RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB for separator test tubes was identified in the current activity block.
