UNSPSC 41121508: Electronic multichannel pipetters

UNSPSC 41121508 Electronic multichannel pipetters is a Commodity code representing laboratory pipetting equipment. Recent state and local opportunities tagged under this code show a significant mismatch between the code's nominal scope and actual buying activity. The source shows little relevant recent activity under this code in state and local procurement; the two opportunities posted do not align with electronic multichannel pipetters. Orange County, Florida issued an IFB for emergency bridge replacement services (estimated cost $6.2 million, due July 7, 2026), and the State of California posted a request for bids for Rainin pipettes and spacers on behalf of the Louisiana Association of Chiefs (due May 22, 2026). Neither solicitation reflects the electronic laboratory pipetting equipment that the code nominally describes.

Without representative opportunities that actually reflect electronic multichannel pipette procurement at the state and local level, the issuing-body mix, geographic spread, and current market activity cannot be reliably characterized from this source. Businesses tracking state and local opportunities under this code should verify the accuracy of commodity coding in active solicitations, as the tagging shown here does not support meaningful market signal or pursuit decisions based on recent activity.
