UNSPSC 41116153: Immunohistochemistry quality controls and calibrators and standards

All quality control preserved tissue slides utilized specifically on IHC autostainers

UNSPSC 41116153 Immunohistochemistry quality controls and calibrators and standards is a Commodity code that shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The two most recently posted opportunities tagged to this code—a stormwater technology demonstration project from Escambia County (Florida) and an offender specimen collection and drug testing services RFP from Collin County (Texas)—involve environmental remediation equipment and clinical laboratory testing services respectively, neither of which relate to immunohistochemistry quality controls, calibrators, or standards used in pathology labs or research settings. The code appears inactive or misapplied in state and local procurement systems at present.

No meaningful market characterization is possible from these records. State and local procurement professionals should verify whether opportunities in immunohistochemistry consumables and standards are being solicited under different UNSPSC codes or whether demand under this code remains limited enough that recent postings do not reflect its actual use. Monitor the code periodically, but do not allocate pursuit resources based on the current activity level.
