UNSPSC 41115326: Optic collimator

A type of device that includes the light source or heat source and optical system. It is manufactured to assist the arrangement of the optical system of the infrared ray equipment.

UNSPSC 41115326 Optic collimator is a Commodity code, but the recent state and local procurement activity tagged under it does not align with optical or collimation equipment. The County of Santa Clara's April 2026 RFI for a Public Health Lab Information Management Solution Replacement (RFITSSFY260686) solicits a lab information management system (LIMS) — software and associated services for managing laboratory workflows, data, and regulatory compliance — which falls outside the scope of optical instrumentation. State and local procurement activity under this code does not show recent relevant opportunities in optical collimators or related optical instrumentation.

The single recent record in the search results is a mislabeled opportunity; no geographic concentration, issuing-body pattern, or representative optical-equipment procurement emerges from the available source material. Vendors pursuing state and local contracts in optical instrumentation or collimation equipment should verify that opportunities are coded correctly before investing in proposal development, as this code's recent activity does not reflect the category's nominal scope.
