UNSPSC 41114108: Vibrometers

UNSPSC 41114108 Vibrometers is a Commodity code covering vibration monitoring and sensing equipment that state and local governments purchase for utility infrastructure and municipal systems maintenance. State and local buyers under this code are acquiring accelerometers, vibration transmitters, temperature sensors, cable assemblies, and related condition-monitoring controllers to detect equipment stress, bearing wear, and mechanical failure at water treatment facilities, pump stations, and other critical infrastructure. The issuing bodies are municipal water utilities and city procurement departments sourcing these sensors for preventive maintenance programs and equipment condition monitoring.

Recent activity reflects procurement spread across the Southeast and Florida, with the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources (Georgia) posting an Informal Written Quotation for vibration and temperature monitoring equipment at the Norcross Booster Station in early October 2026, requesting eight Model HS421 Series Transmitters with PT100 temperature sensors, accelerometer cable assemblies, and accelerometer studs by October 12, 2026, and the City of Tampa Purchasing Department issuing an RFQ for inventory cables, connectors, and controllers including compact accelerometers and SC Series condition monitors with a September 8, 2026 response date. Both solicitations employ FOB Destination delivery terms with five-business-day or next-business-day delivery windows, firm unit pricing, and vendor qualification requirements including insurance, references, and compliance certifications. Award decisions are driven by lowest-responsive-and-responsible bids under Georgia procurement and aggregate or line-item awards under Florida procurement authority.
