UNSPSC 41113401: Alpha counters

UNSPSC 41113401 Alpha counters is a Commodity code that shows no meaningful recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The three most recent opportunities tagged to this code — a Pasco County copper sulfate supply solicitation, a Klein ISD Career Technical Education and Advanced Academics RFP, and a Santa Clara County lab information management system RFI — bear no substantive relationship to alpha counters. The copper sulfate solicitation addresses water treatment or agricultural chemicals; the CTE RFP covers instructional resources and equipment across 17 distinct program areas; the LIMS RFI seeks enterprise software for public health laboratory operations. None of these scopes map to the code's intended purpose, suggesting either misclassification at the point of posting or minimal actual procurement activity under this code within the state and local market.

Given the absence of genuine alpha-counter solicitations in the recent record, this code does not present a reliable basis for business development targeting. Vendors in the alpha-counter space should monitor whether future postings correct the classification mismatch or confirm that state and local demand under this code remains dormant.
