UNSPSC 41113029: Polarographs

UNSPSC 41113029 Polarographs is a Commodity code that in recent state and local procurement covers laboratory testing services and phlebotomy supplies and services. Marion County, Oregon solicited laboratory testing services, specimen collection supplies, courier services for specimen transport, test reporting, and phlebotomist services to perform laboratory draws for adults in custody under an ITB notice. The code captures the consumables, equipment, and ancillary services that state and local health, corrections, and public-safety agencies procure to conduct in-house or contracted laboratory work—specimen collection supplies, test reagents, and related materials. Issuing bodies under this code include county detention and corrections facilities that maintain laboratory or phlebotomy operations in-house or through managed-service arrangements.

Marion County, Oregon represents the only recent state and local opportunity identified under this code. The ITB SO1814-26 closed July 24, 2026 and required submission through the Marion County Procurement Collaboration Portal. The mismatch between the code's nominal scope—polarographs, an electrochemical analytical instrument—and the actual procurement (specimen collection and testing services) suggests that this Commodity code sees limited recent state and local activity aligned to its technical definition, or that Marion County's procurement system tagged the opportunity with a code not fully aligned to the work being bought.
