UNSPSC 41113027: Osmometers

UNSPSC 41113027 Osmometers is a Commodity code that, based on recent state and local solicitations, does not reflect the work actually being procured under this tag. The two opportunities posted in the past ninety days show a mismatch: the Illinois Department of Corrections issued an IFB for medical-grade refrigeration units and vaccine data logging systems across 26 correctional facilities (posted May 1, 2026, due May 18, 2026), and Santa Clara County issued an RFI for a lab information management system replacement (posted April 7, 2026, due April 22, 2026). Neither solicitation concerns osmometers or osmometry equipment. The code shows little relevant recent activity tied to its nominal scope.

The issuing bodies include a state corrections department and a county public health function, representing distinct operational domains. Geographic activity appears limited to Illinois and California in the available records. The Illinois procurement required the vendor to be the original manufacturer or authorized direct distributor of refrigeration and logging equipment, with delivery and installation mandated by June 30, 2026, and a contract term of one year initially with a maximum total term not to exceed ten years. The Santa Clara County RFI sought information from vendors on LIMS capabilities but disclosed no budget, incumbent vendor, or specific requirements beyond scalability and regulatory compliance. Without a coherent body of osmometer-specific solicitations, this code does not represent a clear procurement activity for business development targeting.
