UNSPSC 41112231: Oil cloud and pour point tester

A tester that measures the changes in condition following the temperature decline of crude petroleum and gasoline products.

UNSPSC 41112231 Oil cloud and pour point tester (Commodity) does not align with the state and local procurement activity appearing under this code in recent solicitations. The City of Tampa and Atlanta Public Schools have posted opportunities nominally tagged to this code, but all solicitations involve commercial kitchen equipment (wastewater inventory panels, thermocouples, and food-service repair and maintenance) rather than laboratory instruments for measuring oil properties. The mismatch suggests either tagging error in the municipal systems or an upstream classification misalignment. No recent state and local opportunities reflect the actual scope of oil cloud and pour point testing equipment.

The absence of relevant recent activity under this code means business development professionals should not expect a robust state and local market for oil cloud and pour point testers at this time. If pursuing procurement activity in this space, verify the correct UNSPSC classification directly with issuing bodies before responding to solicitations.
