UNSPSC 41111923: Pre ignition knock sensor

UNSPSC 41111923 Pre ignition knock sensor is a Commodity code that shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The six most recent opportunities tagged with this code—musical equipment and sound systems from Clayton County Public Schools, atmospheric monitoring instruments from the City of Phoenix, a tandem mass spectrometer from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, ozone transfer standards and zero air generators from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, an environmental conditions monitoring system from the Georgia Department of Agriculture, National Instruments items from Texas A&M University System, and color video pipeline inspection equipment from the City of Atlanta—bear no relationship to automotive knock sensors. The code appears to be misapplied across a range of unrelated industrial, laboratory, and educational equipment procurements.

State and local procurement activity under this UNSPSC category carries no signal for vendors specializing in ignition or knock-sensor systems. The recent opportunities span equipment monitoring, environmental analysis, educational infrastructure, and wastewater management across Georgia, Arizona, Illinois, and Texas; none require or specify knock sensor products or services. Until state and local procurement offices apply this code correctly, business development professionals should monitor the code periodically but place no weight on current posting activity when evaluating market opportunity.
