UNSPSC 41111617: Feeler gauges

UNSPSC 41111617 Feeler gauges is a Commodity code that does not align with recent state and local procurement activity. The two most recent opportunities tagged under this code — Hillsborough County Public Schools' RFP 26036 for comprehensive sheet metal services and the City of Stone Mountain's IFB for the FY 2025 VFW Park Project — involve roofing fabrication, installation, and general park construction work respectively, neither of which relates to feeler gauges or precision measurement instruments. The code appears to see minimal or misaligned procurement activity within the state and local market.

No state or local government opportunities for actual feeler gauges or related precision gaging tools appear in the recent solicitation record. The tagging of unrelated construction and fabrication work under this Commodity code suggests either a data-entry error in the underlying procurement notices or systematic miscoding at the issuing bodies. Until opportunities for precision measurement instruments, gaging equipment, or machine tool accessories appear in the pipeline, the code presents no meaningful procurement signal for vendors in the feeler gauge or precision instruments space.
